In addition to selling books and original artwork at my Booth (A4), I also look forward to the opportunity to draw commissions.  Below are some examples of 13th Age drawings. Thanks for your time and attention.  Hope to see you at NYCC!

More Savage Sword!

Robert E. Howard’s Savage Sword Volume 2 is available today from Dark Horse.  It’s a 144 page anthology that collects the various stories from earlier issues into one convenient collection.  All three parts of the Dark Agnes story that I was involved in (see previous Dark Agnes posts) are collected back to back.  Francesco Francavilla drew Part One and I took over for Parts 2 and 3.  Check out this PREVIEW for a little taste of what’s included in this appealing package designed to sate your thirst for savage tales of adventure!  REHSavageSword_vol2 Also, if your interested in acquiring any of the original art of the Dark Agnes pages that I drew, I have them available for sale.  I’ll bring them with me to Emerald City ComicCon this March, but shoot me an email if you’d like to get a hold of them now.REHSavageSword_vol2_DarkAgnes

Final Hours Of Dust and Blood!

Today is the final countdown for backing Of Dust and Blood by Jim Berry and Val Mayerik.  The original graphic novel is funded, so backers are guaranteed a book, but the Kickstarter has a stretchgoal for getting the book in full watercolor by Val!  I did the drawing below to support the cause and the original is currently available as one of the pledge goals.  India Ink on Bristol paper, 22″ x 13.5″.  Please consider contributing to the project.  Thank you!

Tableau of Merch

Here’s a little preview of some items that I will be selling at Emerald City Comicon this weekend.  You can find me at Table 2617 (or thereabouts) on the ECCC Level 4 Show Floor.  The framed image depicting a mantis attack in this snapshot will be on sale in the Krab Jab Studios Art Exhibit “The Gathering” on the TCC Level 3.  13th Age will also be represented on one of the TCC Levels of the Gaming Show Floor.

See you there!

PS. The Diabolist original art in the right hand corner of this image is spoken for, but for the time being you can still request a similar commission.

Emerald City Comic Con 2013 Art Book

I’m happy to announce that I have a drawing in the Monsters & Dames 2013 Art Book, available exclusively at Emerald City Comic Convention, March 1-3.  This piece depicts an encounter between the Spider Cleric and a halfling rogue.  The Spider Cleric is featured with an illustration in the 13th Age core book, but the spiders haven’t hatched from their eggs in the core book illustration.  I suppose technically this image is a spoiler!  But that is appropriate for the character.  And speaking of characters, I’m still open for commissions between now and ECCC.  Any of the characters that you have seen in my 13th Age Gallery or on the Pelgrane website or the 13 True Ways Kickstarter are fair game for commission requests.  Yes, even the Devil of Fangs.

In addition to this image being included in the Monsters & Dames 2013 Art Book, it will also be a part of the ECCC Charity Art Auction benefiting Seattle Children’s Hospital.  The auction is held during the convention (maybe Saturday evening?), and not only will this image be available as an 11″x14″ print, I will also include the original drawing of the Spider Cleric.  This is a charcoal drawing on 14″x17″ Strathmore paper.

Thanks for your interest and, again, I hope to see you in Seattle March 1-3!

Sexy Jungle Cats for Charity

I’ve got a few things lined up this week that will keep this blog percolating with new content.  A few posts will be appropriate for Halloween … like this one!  Here’s a costume idea for you:  Tigra!  Defender and champion of the Cat People!  I drew this with an alcemical mixture of materials I found around the studio.  Watercolor, gouache, color pencil, ink, and even crayon were combined with a little sexy sorcery to create this 11×17″ piece of original art available on eBay to benefit Bradley Angle–the 1st domestic violence shelter on the entire West Coast.  The auction for this piece begins on ebay and culminates with The Women of Wonder Day on October 30th.  Here’s the link for my piece, but you can find a bevy of beauties available for your consideration here.

My piece doesn’t come with the tiger print frame, or the bowl of fruit, or the chia pet table, but hopefully this helps you imagine a context for this piece if you acquire it with a contribution to the Bradley Angle Foundation.   This upcoming week of blog posts may sound a little like a pledge drive, but hopefully you’ll do me the honor of checking in and I’ll try to keep things interesting with all new artwork and the occasional bonus posts like this:

An excellent costume idea for Fido!

Yours truly,
